Mark your calendars for Shop Small Business Saturday on November 25th, a day dedicated to supporting the small businesses that make our communities thrive. This year, we encourage you to make a conscious effort to shop local and discover the unique offerings that Brownwood's businesses provide.

Shopping small has a significant impact on our local economy. When we spend our money at locally owned businesses, we are investing directly into our community. Studies have shown that for every $100 spent at a small business, $68 stays in the local economy, compared to only $30 when spent at a national chain. This means that shopping small has a direct and positive impact on our local jobs, schools, and infrastructure.

Here are some ways you can support Brownwood's small businesses on Shop Small Business Saturday:

  • Visit your favorite local stores and boutiques. You'll find a wide variety of unique and special gifts that you won't find anywhere else.

  • Dine at local restaurants. Enjoy a delicious meal and support our local culinary scene.

  • Utilize local services. From salons and barbershops to home repair and pet care, there are many locally owned businesses that can provide you with the services you need.

  • Spread the word. Tell your friends and family about Shop Small Business Saturday and encourage them to shop local as well.

By shopping small, you are not only supporting our local economy, but you are also contributing to the vibrancy and character of our community. Small businesses are the heart and soul of Brownwood, and they deserve our support.”
